  OUR 100th ADOPTION!!

K
aren's  Korner!

Merry March to all our faithful followers. This Spring we look forward to reaching our goals while setting new ones for the future of the animals in Cumberland County. With your continued support both financially and physically we can stay on our path for a better tomorrow for our furry friends.

2012 brings us new challenges and many lives to improve and save.

March 1st our partners at The Cat's Meow Resale store (formerly Paws to Spay, next to Big Lots) moved to 1660 N. Main St.  next to Sonic Drive-In. With profits benefitting local animals the donations are pouring in. Thank you!!!  The residents of this town proved us right, there are a lot of animal lovers in this town!!!
With the store's support the animals of AT4P are in good hands. Congrats Lori and Staff and a big thank you to all the volunteers who helped during the move.
**************************
April 16th is our 1 year Anniversary and we send a BIG thank you to Chris Vanhoy of Hot Spring Spas for her continued support and kindness. We couldn't do it without you Chris. We love you and all the animals send you licks n purrs.
Stop in for refreshments on Saturday April 14th and help us celebrate our success.

Be on the lookout for our new website with events calendar coming soon.
********************

Stop in our adoption center or consider volunteering in the near future. Volunteering is a great way to feel close to the animals and our cause.

A Time 4 Paws (AT4P) is an animal welfare organization run by a group of volunteers whos directives are aimed at creating a time when dogs and cats are treated as "family". Our Board of Directors and Commitee Chairs collectively represent our animal efforts. We strive to create a No-Kill Community and follow this belief in all aspects of our efforts.  www.nokilladvocacycenter.org

AT4P works hard  to help lower the kill rate in our community.
Our organization helps the public try to keep their pets rather than surrender or abandon them. Previous to 2012 we were transporting shelter dogs to other no kill facilities and holding mobile adoption events for the shelter which helped save lives. At this time we are focusing on other programs that aid in accomplishing this goal. A Time 4 Paws believes in humanely euthanizing only when an animal has been deemed by a qualified Veterinarian to have no quality of life. This Vet must support the No Kill Philosophy.

Some of our programs include:

***Operating an Adoption and Education center (3106 Miller Ave. Crossville,Tn)

***T
ransporting homeless dogs to states with no-kill facilities.
(
See our recent success in Crossville TN)

***Educating the youth in Cumberland Co. public schools about the humane care of animals  and benefits of "FIXING"
 your pet

*** "AniMeals" a pet food delivery program to help with pet retention for the homebound(look for food collection boxes/barrels at participating stores)

***Increasing 'Seniors 4 Seniors' adoptions

***Developing a 'Pups in Prison' program (2013)

***Pets Educating The Students (P.E.T.S) incooperation with local schools. (2012-2013)

***Transporting animals to a high volume-low cost spay and neuter clinic, until ours is open in late 2012

***
building a Sanctuary to house and rehab  the animals in immediate danger of death at our local shelter.
